WILL
of George Conway
*George Conway was married to Anne Heath, daughter of Samuel Heath &
Anne Johnson.
I George Conway of the County of Lancaster being sick and weak of Body
but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God do make this my Last Will &
Testament in manner following vizt I Resign my sout to God my Creator & my
Body to the Earth Its original being fully Assured, that the sacrifice of
Christ is a Worthy Expiation for all the sins of the Faithfull, and therefore
hope that my Soul and Body Will have a Joyfull meeting at the Resurrection of
the Just, by the Merits Mediation and Intercession of our compleat Redeemer the
Lord Jesus Christ Amen.
I give to my Dear wife Anne my Dwelling Plantation & all
appurtenances thereunto belonging During her Natural Life.
Item I give to my said Wife Six Negroes vizt Roger Winney Phillis
Dorcas Daniel & old Moll to my said wife and her heirs.
Item I give to my children all the Rest of my Negroes to be Equally
Divided among them & their Heirs.
Item I give all my Personal Estate to be Equally divided among my wife
& children & it is my Will my sons shall be of age at Eighteen years
old.
Item I appoint my said Dear wife Anne and my good friend Mr Walter
Jameson Execrs of this my Last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal the 3d Day of Februruary Ano Dom 1754.
